Avery Dennison Corporation (NYSE: AVY) announces the promotion of Roberto Martinez Porta to Vice President Sales of Labels and Packaging Materials as part of Materials Group EMENA. He replaces Burak Sahbaz, who has been promoted to VP and General Manager of the Reflective Solutions Division.

The news comes following the recent restructure at the global corporation, bringing several divisions under the new Materials Group umbrella, and the promotion of Hassan Rmaille to the role of President of Materials Group Worldwide. This latest appointment marks the continued elevation of key Avery Dennison figures into increasingly senior leadership roles as the company continues its drive towards increasing sustainability and continued growth.

Since joining Avery Dennison in 2011, Roberto has held various roles in Procurement with increasing responsibility. Most recently, since September 2020, Roberto served as VP Procurement, Materials Group EMENA while also leading Global Indirect Procurement and Procurement Excellence. Prior to Avery Dennison Roberto led Procurement globally for Labels and Packaging Materials at Heineken and had Procurement, Supply Chain and Finance roles in Citigroup Inc (NYSE: C) and NCR Corp (NYSE: NCR).

“I’m excited to continue creating value for the industry and our customers. They are and will continue to be at the center of everything we do,” said Roberto. “Our experienced sales team has continuously demonstrated that transparency, consistency and collaboration are key to navigate challenging times. I am thrilled to lead this team and work with our customers to drive our business with the agility needed to accelerate our sustainable growth together.”
