Casimir Kast Packaging & Display: Insolvency proceedings have been opened
News General news
Insolvency proceedings have been opened against the Gernsbach-based packaging manufacturer Casimir Kast. The main proceedings began on December 1, 2025.
According to information provided by the court in the insolvency announcements, attorney Dr. Dirk Pehl from the law firm Schultze & Braun was appointed as insolvency administrator.
Casimir Kast filed for insolvency proceedings in September with the aim of restructuring and continuing the packaging manufacturer. Production was then continued in full until further notice. The tense economic situation and price increases for materials and energy had led to a tense liquidity situation, according to the statement.
Casimir Kast produces cardboard and corrugated cardboard packaging for the FMCG industry at its plant in Gernsbach, which employs a total of 160 people.
