Germany: Corrugated board industry not expecting any significant improvement for the time being

Demand remains rather subdued, even though it is now reported to be permanently in the single-digit instead of double-digit percentage range below the previous year.

However, even with the slight decline, the industry is not only slipping below the previous year's figures, but is also below the volumes that were "normal" before coronavirus. The order situation is still not sufficient to fill the corrugators to their potential capacity. Discussions have revealed individual sales areas that are experiencing good demand, but these tend to be individual products within a range rather than an entire business segment.
