Grünperga Papier: Sébastien Schaal takes over as managing director

Sébastien Schaal took over as managing director of specialty paper manufacturer Grünperga Papier GmbH, based in Grünhainichen, on September 1, 2025.

He succeeds Sabine Karl, who is retiring, according to a statement from the paper mill. Karl was responsible for sales since 2001 before moving to management in 2022.
According to Grünperga, Sébastien Schaal is an experienced business manager who will take over the reins. According to further information, Schaal is moving from the hygiene and nonwovens sector to the specialty paper manufacturer. Grünperga has over 100 employees and produces on two fourdrinier paper machines with a capacity of around 15,500 tons per year. In addition to crepe and filter papers, the portfolio also includes glassine paper in various degrees of transparency.
