As already known in the market, Sihl has discontinued its product line “Masterclass” (FineArt and photo papers). In the context of the MUSEO® acquisition, Hahnemühle can now offer alternatives from its Digital FineArt Collection, the Everyday Photo range as well as from the MUSEO® family.

“Hahnemühle has been producing in Germany since 1584 and developed the digital FineArt paper segment together with artists, printer manufacturers and photographers more than 25 years ago. High quality pigment inkjet printing systems made this digital transformation possible at the turn of the millennium. Our customers and partners appreciate the stable reference quality, flexibility and continuous availability of Hahnemühle products. We will also enable or further develop these attributes for the MUSEO® papers,” explains Jan Wölfle, CEO of the Hahnemühle Group.

“Sihl is a leading manufacturer in the coating market for substrates of all kinds. Numerous company acquisitions and portfolio optimizations have positioned us very well for the future. Since the late 1990s, we have been working strategically with Hahnemühle on the analogue – digital transformation in the photo market and have been significantly involved in shaping it. With this acquisition, Hahnemühle will continue this transformation”, added Peter Wahsner, CEO of Sihl Group.
