Looking Back on an Inspiring Week in Arles – Hahnemühle x Inland 2025
News General news
Last week, once again, Arles pulsed with the energy of photography, and we at Hahnemühle are proud to have shared this exceptional week with Inland and with you.

A Committed Collaboration with Inland
On the occasion of the 2025 Rencontres d’Arles photography festival, Hahnemühle partnered with Inland, a cooperative of 14 committed documentary photographers. Together, we created a dual and complementary presence at the festival, united by a shared desire to support emerging artists and highlight the excellence of fine art printing.
Two Strong Presences at the Heart of the Festival
Inland x Hahnemühle House – at Maison Close
From July 7 to 11, we took over Maison Close, a unique venue in the heart of Arles, to establish the Inland x Hahnemühle House.
This space hosted a group exhibition featuring all 14 members of the Inland collective, each presenting long-term documentary work offering a unique and committed perspective on the realities of the contemporary world. The prints were produced on Hahnemühle FineArt paper, chosen for its ability to convey the full visual and emotional depth of the works.
Beyond the exhibition, this ephemeral house became a true meeting place, filled with talks, workshops, portfolio reviews, and informal exchanges. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who shared these moments with us.
Exhibition at the Manuel Rivera-Ortiz Foundation (MRO)
In parallel, Inland also featured in the official festival program with the exhibition “Thrutopia” hosted by the Manuel Rivera-Ortiz Foundation.
This collective project offers a powerful reflection on the state of the world and forms of resistance to global disruption, through a series of original works printed on our Hemp paper from the Natural Line collection.
The exhibition remains on view until the end of the Rencontres d’Arles, and we are proud to support it alongside FotoHaus and other institutional partners.
A Vibrant, Essential, and Full Week
These two complementary presences led to many meaningful encounters with artists, curators, students, and photography enthusiasts. It was also an opportunity for us to showcase the diversity and quality of our papers and to reaffirm our ongoing commitment to a photography that is demanding, inclusive, and responsible.
Thank You All
We extend our warmest thanks to Inland for this deeply meaningful collaboration and to all the artists who trusted us to support their work.
We would also like to warmly thank Pro Image Service, a Hahnemühle Certified Studio, for the outstanding quality of the prints they produced. Their technical precision, attentiveness, and expertise played a vital role in the success of the exhibitions presented this week.
Thanks also to everyone who visited the exhibitions, shared a word, an idea, or simply a look.
This week in Arles fully embodies our mission at Hahnemühle: to support creation, encourage emerging perspectives, and provide exceptional media for works that matter.
