Insolvent print shops of the SKN Media Group are being wound up

There are no investors for the insolvent print shops of the SKN Media Group and the operations have been discontinued.
The parent company had filed for insolvency for Ostfriesische Presse Druck GmbH (OPD) and OBD Ostfriesische Bogendruck GmbH in June. The provisional insolvency administrator Dr. Christian Kaufmann, Pluta Rechtsanwalts GmbH from Oldenburg, has now confirmed that it is not economically feasible to continue the business. Despite various talks, no investor could be found. The business operations of Ostfriesische Presse Druck GmbH and OBD Bogendruck GmbH were therefore discontinued as of July 12, 2025.
A total of 45 jobs are affected by the closure of the printing plants. The employment contracts of the 37 employees at Ostfriesische Presse Druck GmbH and the 8 employees at OBD Bogendruck GmbH will be terminated as soon as possible, the provisional insolvency administrator further reports.
