The Platinum rating represents the highest level of recognition awarded by EcoVadis and is granted to only 1% of companies evaluated worldwide. The assessment considers four key areas of sustainability: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Lucart achieved excellent results in each area, standing out in particular for environmental performance (96/100) and the robustness of its social and supply chain practices.

This milestone confirms the Group’s leadership position within the paper industry benchmark, where Lucart stands out for its ability to combine industrial innovation with environmental responsibility.

The recognition comes at a time of significant developments for the Group, including:

  • Joining the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), with a commitment to define validated greenhouse gas emission reduction targets across all impact areas (Scopes 1, 2, and 3) by 2025;
  • Signing the AMFORI-BSCI Code of Conduct, strengthening its commitment to respecting human rights, ensuring decent working conditions, and promoting transparency throughout the supply chain;
  • Adopting a new Integrated Sustainability Policy, which sets out guiding principles and five priority areas: climate, environment, people’s safety and well-being, ethical supply chain, and responsible business.

“This result is a source of pride for all of us and confirms the value of the path we have taken,” said Francesco Pasquini, CEO of Lucart. “The EcoVadis recognition encourages us to move forward with determination in our journey towards an increasingly sustainable development model, with a constant commitment to improving our performance and maintaining a long-term vision, in line with what we presented in our latest Sustainability Report.”
