Mayr-Melnhof Announces Price Increase for Entire Cartonboard Range

Mayr-Melnhof has announced plans for price increases: starting in October 2026, MM Board & Paper will raise prices for its entire cartonboard range by €75 per tonne.
According to the announcement, the price adjustments apply to GD and liner grades as well as virgin-fiber cartonboard. The decision is a response to rising costs and ongoing margin pressure. MM notes that costs for energy, logistics, and chemicals, in particular, remain well above historical levels and have shown high volatility since March 2026.
MM Board & Paper views this price increase as a necessary step to strengthen the company's economic foundation and ensure the future competitiveness of European cartonboard production. Details regarding implementation will be discussed with customers over the coming weeks.
