This compact solution is ideal for bookbinders looking for excellence and top quality in hardcover book preparation, especially for high signature–count books. This book finishing system for hardcover preparation guarantees a constant book block quality and minimizes the labor force. It can be placed upstream to any third–party finishing line and it is the ideal match for short-run book production.

The Nipping module presses sewn book blocks up to 4 tons, acting symmetrically on both sides of the book for best quality results. This process reduces the thickness and forms a perfectly squared spine. The aim is to reduce or even eliminate the spine build–up determined by the folding process and thread sewing. Immediately after, book blocks enter the integrated end–sheet tipper that applies end–sheets to the first and last page of the book using two nozzle guns that spread a thin layer of glue with high precision (hotmelt and cold glue are available as gluing systems).

This integrated system is a special configuration of the Inline back gluer.

4 TONS NIPPING PRESS
In the Nipping module, the pressing force is applied symmetrically on both sides of the book for better quality results by two active pressing jaws, while two pre-tensioning jaws keep the block steady during the process.

Pressing time can be adjusted according to production requirements.

COMPACT SOLUTION
Nipping with an integrated end–sheet tipper has a small footprint and it is the most compact solution in its category.

It can be placed upstream to any third–party finishing line and it is the ideal match for short-run book production.

TOP PERFORMANCE
This integrated system processes books up to 1800 cycles/h.

FOCUS ON THE PROCESS
After sewing, the integrated spine-nipping press automatically presses the book blocks reducing the thickness of the spine build-up. This improves the quality and efficiency of downstream processes.

The end-sheet tipper is also integrated and connected in line with the nipping press, significantly enhancing the efficiency of the book block preparation for hardcover application. This module automatically glues the end-sheets to the first and last page of the book block by using cold glue or hotmelt.
