MM Packaging divests Leeuwarden folding carton plant in the Netherlands

Mayr-Melnhof Packaging is selling its folding carton plant in Leeuwarden to Grenadier Packaging.
Grenadier, a manufacturer of cardboard and corrugated cardboard packaging and part of Grenadier Holding based in Dublin, will continue to operate the established site in the Netherlands. The site, which employs around 52 people, has long-standing customer relationships in its home market and across Europe.
According to the information provided, the site will continue to operate as an independent business under its new owners. The focus on high-quality folding cartons will remain the core business. Grenadier did not comment on the amount of the transaction.
Grenadier Packaging has already grown through the acquisition of sites and is pursuing further strategic opportunities. In April 2025, the company acquired the British folding carton manufacturer Kentmere Packaging.
