Navigator streamlines tissue business in the UK

The Navigator Company is planning to restructure its tissue business in the UK. In May 2024, pulp and paper manufacturer Navigator acquired British tissue converter Accrol, which now operates under the name Navigator Tissue UK and runs converting plants in Blackburn, Flint, Leicester, Leyland, and Bridgwater.

According to media reports, Navigator intends to relocate the Leicester site to a larger facility and concentrate production at the new plant, which is also to be built in Leicester, and at the Leyland site.
Navigator Tissue UK has entered into an official consultation process with its employees.
In addition, Navigator Tissue UK announced further investments in the Leicester and Leyland sites over the next five years. The company manufactures a wide range of consumer tissue products, including toilet paper, kitchen rolls, cosmetic tissues, and wet wipes.
