OutNature: New straw fiber plant at Leipa paper mill for kraft liner replacement paper

OutNature and recycled paper manufacturer Leipa want to work together to expand the use of renewable raw materials in paper production.

The project is driven by plans to install a new straw fiber production plant from OutNature, based on a Valmet system, at the Leipa site in Schwedt.

Leipa plans to use the straw fibers in combination with waste paper at its paper mill in Schwedt/Oder. The first marketable product to be produced will be a white-coated kraftliner substitute.

Market entry with straw fibers is planned for the fourth quarter of 2026.
