The explosions triggered fires, and production has currently been suspended. “Despite the significant property damage, we are above all relieved that none of our employees—who followed safety protocols—were injured,” the company stated in a press release.

“Unfortunately, we are not yet able to assess the extent of the damage and its consequences. Only after the fire has been completely extinguished will it be possible to begin an assessment and determine which equipment and facilities remain intact and which will need to be replaced. However, it is already clear that significant portions of the operational infrastructure—particularly buildings, technical equipment, and utility networks—have been severely damaged,” the company explained in response to a query from EUWID.

The Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill is a company in the Ukrainian pulp and paper industry that manufactures corrugated base paper and folding boxboard, corrugated packaging, and hygiene papers.
