Co-branding and multifunctional design at the IST UV Days

PrintCity Alliance announces a new project conceived and designed for catering company Benz & Co. It combines the sales-promoting effect of packaging at the PoS with the practical function of a sustainable bottle cooler.
The project will be presented for the first time at UV Days 2023, an event that takes place every two years at the headquarters of IST METZ in Nürtingen near Stuttgart and is the meeting place for the international printing industry.

Many branded companies and service providers ask themselves the question: "How can I successfully offer my branded products and also create a lasting memory with the customer?". In addition, the question increasingly arises: "Can packaging be more than just a cover without added value?".

Allianz has taken up these questions about co-branding and sustainability and, together with the caterer Benz & Co, has developed a highly attractive additional label and outer packaging that can also be used as an ice cream cooler. The inlay of the packaging was printed with a special varnish that supports the natural barrier function of the cardboard and prevents it from being softened by water or ice cubes.

The result is a multifunctional packaging that appeals to the senses and is an effective advertising medium thanks to various high-quality lacquer finishes, cold transfer and embossing.

However, the packaging not only experiences a double benefit, but is also fully recyclable afterwards due to the materials used.

In the panel discussions at UV Days, the PrintCity Alliance will explore all these questions and present possible solutions on finishing options, technologies and sustainability.

The UV Days will take place at IST METZ from 4 - 6 July 2023 in Nürtingen near Stuttgart.
