Reflex GmbH & Co. The planned plant will cover up to 30 percent of the paper mill's current electricity requirements in future, making a significant contribution to reducing CO2 emissions. The corresponding planning resolution was passed by the city of Düren on May 8, 2025 and represents an important milestone on the way to implementing the project. F&S solar concept GmbH from Euskirchen has been commissioned with the planning. Commissioning is scheduled for 2027.

“Sustainability is deeply rooted in our corporate philosophy,” explains the Managing Director of Reflex GmbH & Co. KG Dr.-Ing. Tiemo Arndt. “By investing in our own renewable energy sources, we are not only strengthening our security of supply, but also taking responsibility for climate protection.”

The use of the photovoltaic system saves several thousand tons of CO2 every year. Reflex is thus sending a strong signal for active climate protection in the region. The project is part of a wide range of measures to optimize the company's environmental footprint and is an example of the shift towards resource-conserving, future-oriented industrial production.
