The 2,880-square-meter facility completion is expected in October 2021 and will result in the production capacity increase of 65%. Aiming to expand its product portfolio with high-end segments, including industrial packaging for food ingredients, the new building will meet the highest quality and hygiene requirements.

The new state-of-art production line will be supplied by the leading machinery manufacturer Windmöller & Hölscher. The agreement for this was singed earlier this year. According to the project timeline, the new equipment to be delivered by the end of this year. Following the necessary tests and employee training, the production will start in March 2022.

The modernization of the existing equipment will also include relocation of the production machinery from another Segezha Packaging location. In addition to higher efficiency, this will positively affect the production output starting 2022.

“Reflecting on the recently announced expansion in Romania, Segezha Packaging CEO Rinat Stark said, “Our production plant in Romania is a leading producer on the local market and has been supplying our products for many years now. This investment project to increase our industrial footprint in the country is an exciting milestone in our history.
