The report, available for download at www.solenis.com/en/sustainabilityreport, summarizes the company’s environmental stewardship, social responsibility and governance (ESG) initiatives.

Working with an independent consulting firm, Solenis prepared the report to increase transparency and outline its efforts to sustainably improve operational efficiency and productivity. The report offers an overview of the company’s first materiality assessment, which analyzed data to identify four key focus areas: enhancing employee well-being, health and safety; protecting the planet; building value chain partnerships; and ensuring responsible business practices.

In addition, the report outlines the company’s commitment to the UN Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) and highlights the SDGs where Solenis believes it can make the most significant impact through its customers, products, processes and partnerships.

“For more than 100 years, Solenis has delivered sustainable solutions for our customers in water-intensive industries,” said CEO John Panichella. “With our 2020 Sustainability Report, we provide an in-depth review and greater insight into the value we create for our customers and the actions we take to build a business that’s more resilient — and more sustainable.”

Along with outlining key performance indicators for responsible busines practices, the report highlights the company’s ESG and value delivery progress during 2020.

Highlights include:
• $194 million in value delivered to customers
• 80% of revenue stems from projects driving sustainability goals
• 84% of innovation projects have a focus on sustainable solutions
• EcoVadis Gold Recognition for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

The report is based on Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards and has been externally validated by an independent certification agency.
