Solidus Solutions confirms closure of Bad Nieuweschans site
News General news
Solidus Solutions, a manufacturer and converter of solid board and coreboard, has confirmed its plans to permanently close its production site in Bad Nieuweschans in the Netherlands and realign its administrative functions.

The decision follows a strategic review of the company's operational footprint initiated earlier this year to improve efficiency and lay the foundations for future growth, the company said.
Production will be distributed from Bad Nieuweschans to other plants within the Solidus Group. This will optimize efficiency and capacity utilization throughout the company's production network. Solidus points out that the decision was taken against the backdrop of a persistently difficult market environment.
Management has initiated discussions with the works council and trade unions to negotiate a social plan to support the affected employees during the transition period.
