Papiermaschinen-Systemtechnik GmbH ushers in a new era of edge trimming on the paper machine. The SuperTrim Full-Motion combines intelligent automation with maximum precision and the highest level of safety. The latest generation of edge trimming systems features fully digital control: angle, position, and jet alignment can be adjusted automatically with precise repeatability.
Thanks to the specially developed jet technology of the PMS Ruby Nozzles, the paper edge is not cut in the conventional sense. Instead, the precise, laminar water jets separate the fiber structure in a controlled and clean manner by displacing the fibers toward the paper web or the trim. This creates an exceptionally clean and well-defined edge, resulting in significantly improved and reliably reproducible edge quality.
With the new SuperTrim Full-Motion, operator safety is also a top priority. All relevant settings can be adjusted from a safe position. This means that operators no longer need to lean over the wire or enter the immediate machine area while the paper machine is running in order to manually adjust the edge trimming system.
Operation is exceptionally user-friendly, with control available via the 7-inch touchscreen, through the DCS interface, or directly at the machine using a remote control, either wireless or wired. Combined with an excellent price-performance ratio and low operating and maintenance costs, the system delivers outstanding cost efficiency, maximum reliability, and precise control throughout the entire edge trimming process.
