AV Group NB Inc. announces the temporary idling, around the end of October 2026, of its pulp operations facility located in Nackawic, New Brunswick.

The decision follows a careful assessment of the continuing challenges presented by prevailing market conditions and broader macroeconomic factors.

The facility employs approximately 350 people and has an annual production capacity of approximately 190 KTPA of dissolving-grade pulp.

AV Group NB Inc. will continue to monitor the market situation and business conditions and assess future scenarios for the facility.

The Atholville pulp mill facility of AV Group NB Inc. is not affected by this decision.
