Valmet to supply quality control system to Ahlström-Munksjö Ställdalen AB’s nonwoven machine in Sweden

Valmet will supply IQ quality control system to Ahlström-Munksjö Ställdalen AB in Sweden. The new system will replace the old third-party system and will be installed on nonwoven machine FM2 to improve productivity and final quality.

The order was included in Valmet’s order received of the third quarter 2021. The installation will take place in the first quarter of 2022.

Technical details about the delivery
The Valmet IQ quality control system will be delivered with scanner, basis weight and moisture measurements including binder amount information and related quality controls. The system will be running in virtual environment to ensure easy lifetime management. Installation, start-up and training are included in the delivery as well.

With more accurate data available and state-of-the-art multivariable control technology, the machine can be controlled much better than before resulting in improved machine performance and end-product quality.
