Despite the public holidays, EUWID interlocutors have at least not noticed any deterioration, and some have even noted a very slight upturn. German customers appear to be slightly busier than in 2024, according to the market assessment.
Voices from the industry are calling for an even greater focus on capacity management. The closures to date are not enough to bring the market back into balance. Measures such as speed reductions or short-term shutdowns would also tend to be implemented according to the watering can principle.
