A. Merati Announces Price Increase for core and Grayboard

The Italian tube board manufacturer A. Merati & C. is planning a price adjustment for its range of core and Grayboard products.
A. Merati plans to increase prices for all types of core and grayboard on European and international markets by a total of 90 €/t. The price increase will be implemented in two stages: The first increase already applies to shipments made since September 1, 2026, while the remaining increase will take effect for shipments starting September 15.
The company attributes this move to ongoing cost pressures, which have been further exacerbated by recent increases in energy, raw material, and transportation costs. The announced price adjustment is based on the assumption of average natural gas costs of 55–65 €/MWh. Should gas prices stabilize above this range, further price increases may become necessary, according to A. Merati.
