Arctic Paper Completes Upgrade of PM 9 at the Grycksbo Paper Mill

Arctic Paper has modernized paper machine PM 9 for coated wood-free papers at its Grycksbo site in Sweden. The company announced the completion of the upgrade in mid-March.
The work included the installation of new drives, safety improvements, and measures to achieve significant energy savings. The upgrade was part of investment projects totaling 120 million SEK (approx. 11 million EUR) at the Arctic Group’s paper mills in Grycksbo, Munkedals, and Kostrzyn.
The goal of the program is to strengthen the competitiveness of the sites and improve operational efficiency, Arctic explained.
According to the paper manufacturer, the Swedish site produces fine papers on two paper machines with a production capacity of approximately 200,000 tons per year.
