Change at the top of the VVK: Karsten Hunger succeeds Thomas Pfeiffer

There has been a change in leadership at the Association of Solid Board and Carton Manufacturers (VVK). Long-time managing director Thomas Pfeiffer retired on February 1 and handed over operational responsibility to his successor, Karsten Hunger.
The 41-year-old managing director of the Industry Association for Paper and Film Packaging (IPV) will take over the management of the VVK in addition to his duties for the IPV and other industry associations. Hunger is thus the contact person for five associations.
In addition to the VVK and the IPV, these include the Paper Bag Industry Association (GemPSI), the Trade Association of the Core Industry (FHR), and, at the European level, the ECTA.
The VVK is the association of manufacturers of solid board packaging in Germany and has been representing the interests of the industry vis-à-vis politicians, authorities, institutions in the packaging industry, other industrial and economic groups, and the public since 1953.
