As Group Director Finance, General Administration & IT, Thieme is now responsible for three key areas for driving forward the digital transformation and future orientation in the group of companies. The standardisation of processes at Kyocera Document Solutions Germany and the Kyocera subsidiaries AKI and ALOS plays a central role in this. In doing so, he seamlessly follows on from the successful work of Michael Bludau, who has headed this business unit since 2020 and will retire this year.

"We are proud to have been able to win Christian Thieme as our new Group Director Finance, General Administration & IT," says Dietmar Nick, CEO of Kyocera Document Solutions Germany. "This enables us to ensure a smooth handover of the baton in this area at an early stage. Just like Michael Bludau when he joined us, Christian has convinced us as a financial expert with strong leadership qualities. He brings a wealth of experience to the table and we are certain that he will make an important contribution to Kyocera's successful future."

Realising potential for customers and partners
Most recently, Thieme was General Manager Germany at AO Deutschland Ltd. At the online retailer focusing on white goods and electrical appliances with over 450 employees and its own logistics, he was responsible for realigning the organisation towards profitability as well as consistently optimising and restructuring processes. Before joining AO Germany, Christian Thieme held national and international management positions with financial responsibility at companies such as Harley-Davidson Europe, Colart International Holdings and Mattel.

"I am very much looking forward to my new role in a well-coordinated management team," adds Christian Thieme, Kyocera's new Group Director Finance, General Administration & IT. "With my expertise, I would like to contribute to identifying additional potential in the group of companies and to use it for our customers and partners. As an expert in information and document management with decades of experience, Kyocera is in the best position to support companies in digitising their information processes and making them more flexible, sustainable, secure and faster."

In his new position, Christian Thieme reports to Dietmar Nick, CEO of Kyocera Document Solutions Germany.
