High-ranking visitor in Hofheim am Taunus: On Thursday, 6 July, the head of the Hessian State Chancellery, Axel Wintermeyer, visited the cutting machine manufacturer POLAR together with Hofheim's mayor Christian Vogt.

POLAR Cutting Technologies GmbH is one of the largest employers in the Main-Taunus district and employs almost 260 people. On 6 July, the Hessian Minister of State and Hofheim's mayor took a look at the company and spoke with Managing Directors Thomas Raab and Haiko Stüting.
"It is impressive to be a guest here today at the world market leader for cutting machines and it speaks for the strong Rhine-Main business location that such companies are located here at home in Hesse," said Minister of State Wintermeyer.
There has been a spirit of optimism at the Hofheim company for some weeks now: the company is to be modernised as part of a transformation process. "We are currently in the middle of a transformation process, something is happening everywhere in the company - Minister Wintermeyer's visit is a confirmation of our plans, especially at this time," said Thomas Raab, Managing Director of POLAR. "It is a clear signal for us that we, as a medium-sized company with a long tradition, play an important role in the Rhine-Main region as a business location."
The first signs of the transformation process are already noticeable during the tour of the production facility: In the plant construction there are communication terminals consisting of a modern PC with equipment for video calls. "With the installation of the PCs, we have brought more digitalisation right into the middle of the production halls," says Haiko Stüting, managing director of the GmbH. "The exchange between production and design is now almost seamless, which speeds up our implementation speed."
Hofheim's mayor Christian Vogt also reinforced his support for POLAR Cutting Technologies GmbH: "POLAR has historically close ties with the town of Hofheim. We are working intensively to give the company a perspective in the district town."
