Kyocera introduces new A4 systems for fast and secure printing

Kyocera Document Solutions, a leading provider in the field of information and document management, offers four new black-and-white printing systems, the Kyocera ECOSYS PA4500x, ECOSYS PA5000x, ECOSYS PA5500x and ECOSYS P6000x, for security- and environment-conscious companies and public authorities.
The new printers, with print speeds of up to 60 pages per minute, rely on advanced toner technology as well as modern functions and security features. With their durable components, the ECOSYS devices are optimised for a long service life and low total cost of ownership. As a result, the new A4 printing systems enable workgroups of all sizes as well as individual users to work efficiently and productively.
Secure and economical
The new printers offer a wide range of advanced security functions and features. Secure Boot, Run-time Integrity Check, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and encryption technologies provide enhanced protection of sensitive data from loss and disclosure. Further functions can be optionally added via a Trusted Platform Module (TPM). Quick security setup, convenient certificate log settings to automate security issues and configurable administrator authentication for firmware updates save management time and reduce the burden on IT teams.
"With toner as the only consumable and extra durable components, service calls are also minimal," explains Heiko Schumann, Product Manager at Kyocera Document Solutions. "Thanks to high capacity and 'EcoPrint' function for lower toner consumption - for example for drafts or internal printed matter - toner changes and the associated ordering processes are also required less frequently." Additional features such as 'Check and Keep' and 'Skip Blank Page', as well as the integrated duplex unit, eliminate redundant printouts and reduce paper consumption.
Proven, high-quality technology
A five-line LCD control panel allows easy navigation. PIN codes and passwords for retrieving confidential documents can be conveniently entered using the keypad. Users experience additional benefits with support for Microsoft Universal Print and optional integration into 5 GHz WLAN networks.
Management is further simplified with Command Center RX for checking the printer's operating status and changing security or network print settings. The Kyocera KX driver is also designed for ease of use.
Minimal environmental impact
Kyocera's unique ECOSYS technology with toner as the only consumable significantly reduces the amount of waste produced. ECOSYS systems impress with particularly durable components with a service life of up to 500,000 pages of print volume, which with many other manufacturers have to be replaced with every toner change.
The new printing systems are also characterised by low power consumption and meet the strict requirements of Blue Angel and ENERGY STAR. Kyocera offsets the CO2 emissions caused by raw material generation, production, transport and recycling through certified international climate protection projects as part of the Print Green climate protection programme for all printing and multifunctional systems and toners sold in Germany and Austria.
