Lenzing Papier is investing in a new deinking plant. Operations at the Austrian paper mill are scheduled to start in the third quarter of 2025.
With this investment, the supplier of premium recycled paper aims to set new standards in the processing of recovered paper. The new plant will enable even more efficient removal of printing inks and improve the quality of the recycled material. The downstream processes in the paper mill have already been modernized in the past two years, a forward-looking measure in view of the increasing deterioration in the quality of recovered paper, Lenzing Papier explains in a press release.
The new plant is intended to generate a competitive advantage and stands for technological progress and sustainability. The investment goes hand in hand with increased flexibility in the choice of raw materials.
