Lucart expands its presence in France with a new logistics centre

The Lucca-based paper group announces the acquisition of a new logistics centre in Saint-Diè-des-Vosges, in the Hellieule business area. The new site will be operational from the first quarter of 2024 and is designed to increase storage and shipping capacity for Lucart products manufactured at the Laval-sur-Vologne mill. The acquisition is the first step in the implementation of Lucart's investment plan in the Vosges region for the coming years.

The new logistics centre in Saint-Diè-des-Vosges consists of a 22,000 m2 building built on a 10-hectare site with a storage capacity of 20,000 pallet carriers. The site is intended to centralise the stock of finished products for shipment to customers in France, but also in Germany, Benelux and Northern Europe.

"The acquisition of this new site marks a turning point in our development project. The new site will interact with the Laval-sur-Vologne facility, but some adaptation work will be required before it can be put into operation to meet the operational requirements of our activity," said Alessandro Pasquini, president of Lucart's French subsidiary. "Indeed, we want to offer the highest quality standards in terms of customer service."
