The new toilet paper from oecolife surpasses the company's previous bamboo products with a bamboo content of 60 per cent, setting a new standard that is far above the usual industry average.

Bamboo, the centrepiece of oecolife toilet paper, stands for sustainability and ecological efficiency. Compared to conventional raw materials such as wood, bamboo grows back very quickly. Some varieties can grow several centimetres per day, which enables rapid regeneration. A plant ready for harvesting is available again just three to five years after harvesting - a significantly shorter period than trees, which take several decades. Bamboo also uses significantly less water to grow and does not require pesticides or artificial fertilisers, which significantly reduces the environmental impact.

oecolife sanitary paper bears the FSC certificate, a seal of quality for environmentally friendly, socially responsible and economically viable forestry worldwide. This seal ensures that the bamboo used for the toilet paper comes from responsibly managed forests in which the biodiversity and habitats of animals and plants are protected. The bamboo toilet paper has also been awarded the Dermatest seal of approval "very good", which confirms that it is also safe for sensitive skin.

Andreas Jörn, Managing Director of oecolife, emphasises: " It fills us with pride that we are once again doing pioneering work with our new, completely unbleached bamboo toilet paper and can offer our customers a sustainable option that meets the highest standards of quality and environmental protection."

It is not only the three-ply tissue paper that is produced in a particularly environmentally conscious way, but also the packaging. This is made from a thin film that consists of 60 per cent recycled materials and is fully recyclable after use. The use of recycled packaging film makes sustainable products affordable and emphasises oecolife's fundamental belief that environmentally friendly products should be affordable for everyone.

Customers who choose oecolife products are also making an important contribution to reducing plastic waste in the world's oceans and on the coasts. Every purchase of an oecolife product automatically supports the Plastic Bank organisation, which is actively involved in collecting incorrectly disposed plastics and returning them to the recycling cycle.
