“We are very excited about our new paperboard EnsovelvetTM”, says Tomas Larsson, Head of Product Line SBS, FBB, Liner & Book Paper at Stora Enso. “Customers will particularly appreciate the tactile feel of its velvety smooth surfaces as well as the high whiteness and stiffness of the product”. Oppboga Bruk complements Ensovelvet’s range (240 – 320gsm) by laminating higher paper weights (490 – 650gsm). “This enables our customers to convert with a consistent look and feel to suit most packaging applications”, adds Mr. Larsson.

StoraEnso’s customers benefit from Oppboga Bruk’s recent investment of €6 million in a purpose-built machine, which allows for increased production capacity and even higher quality output than previously. This is due to the constant monitoring of the board’s moisture profile and, if needed, its automatic adjustment, resulting in consistent sheet flatness of the paperboard compound.

Andrew Robinson, CEO of Oppboga Bruk, is delighted that Stora Enso is continuing its collaboration with the Swedish laminator. “In addition to the word-class luxury packaging and graphic board Ensocoat 2STM, we are thrilled to promote the recently engineered uncoated solid bleached board EnsovelvetTM.
