Casimir Kast, a packaging manufacturer currently undergoing insolvency proceedings, will continue operations with an investor. Insolvency administrator Dr. Dirk Pehl of the law firm Schultze & Braun has provided information about the restructuring agreement.
According to this, managing partner Christian Oetker-Kast is acting as investor. The takeover of Casimir Kast will take place on January 1, 2026, and the Gernsbach-based company will continue to operate under the name Casimir Kast Verpackung und Display GmbH.
The restructuring of the specialist for cardboard and corrugated cardboard packaging for the FMCG industry will involve job cuts. Around 30 employees will lose their jobs, while 119 will keep theirs.
Regular insolvency proceedings were opened against the company on December 1, 2025. The investor process that was initiated proved promising in the short term.
