The special service for the pharmaceutical industry offered by Panther Display GmbH & Co. KG's special service for the pharmaceutical industry, Panther Pharma Service, assembles and packages the CentoKit-19TM medical device for CENTOGENE GmbH. A CentoKit-19TM is a coronavirus self-smear kit for the determination of SARS-CoV-2 disease, which can be used to perform the throat swab independently and then collected from home for laboratory analysis.
Panther Pharma Service supports the sensitive logistics process with secure and structured data handling.
"CENTOGENE's SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR test is a real-time test based on reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) for the qualitative detection of nucleic acid from SARSCoV-2 in upper respiratory tract specimens and is used to diagnose and contain the further spread of the virus," according to the test manufacturer's description.
Orders are processed individually. Panther Display receives the individual orders directly through the Corona Test Portal and is responsible for packing the CentoKit-19TM and scanning the respective materials. The CentoKit-19TM are then shipped via courier directly to individual purchasers. Finally, the scanned information is uploaded to the customer portal so that CENTOGENE is informed of who received the corresponding CentoKit-19TM.

Each CentoKit-19TM contains a shipping bag with a UN label, instructions for the correct use of the CentoKit-19TM in German and English, instructions for the use of the CentoSwabTM throat swab spatula, a card with two stickers, a clear resealable zip pouch and a closure sticker with the CENTOGENE logo. Pharma Service staff affix a UN label to the shipping bag with the code UN3373, indicating a Category B biological substance.
