Panther Display: Displays for pole position on counters and service counters

The experts at Panther Display GmbH & Co.KG have proven many times how they master the special challenges of counter displays. These are designed to present product innovations or seasonal articles in an attractive way that arouses curiosity in the smallest possible space. Whether in checkout areas, at service counters or service counters, the focus is always on capturing the consumer's attention and triggering a buying impulse. Panther Display's many years of expertise have already resulted in a number of successful counter displays. The most recent example is a secondary placement for the game novelty "Cantaloop - Einbruch in den Knast" by developer Friedemann Findeisen for the customer Spielkartenfabrik Altenburg.

The design idea of a broken brick wall points unmistakably to the core of this analogue game innovation.

The inventors of the ring binders from the "Point & Click" game series turned to Panther Display to introduce their innovation. The requirement was to develop a counter display for a total of six ring binders, clearly visible and arranged three high in two rows. And they also relied on the creativity of the display experts to create a visual design that emphasised the essential features of the game novelty. The biggest feature of the game series is that it works completely analogue and does without (computer) technology.

The developers speak of "puzzle fun". The playing time is stated to be at least 300 minutes and the game is intended for one person only. The ring binders contain various lovingly designed utensils, such as the playing cards, cross-off sheet and game book with ring binding.

The developers at Panther Display let their imagination run wild and designed a visual language for the counter display made of corrugated cardboard that visualises the title of the game "Breaking into Jail". A broken-through, collapsed wall made of bricks symbolises the game theme and determines the design of the outer design as well as the inside of the back wall. Beyond the visual design, the experts for PoS solutions then contributed further ideas, which led to the display ultimately even offering space for eight ring binders. These should stand as upright as possible, which requires a clever trick due to the different geometry of the ring binders (the width varies from 1 cm to 3.5 cm): on the narrow side, the books are supported on the right side of the display by their own holding bars. This ensures their upright positioning until they are sold. The addition of two more ring binders makes optimum use of the space available in the secondary placement.

Panther Display has been able to contribute its many strengths to this new development. The conditions for a successful product launch of "Cantaloop - Breaking into Jail" could not be better. The display made of corrugated cardboard is fed into the material cycle of paper recycling after its lifetime.
