In the first of two regulatory sessions, Dr. Sabine Lindner from plastics Europe provides an insight into the "Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability" and creates an impact analysis.

A massively reduced TDI (Tolerable Daily Intake) for bisphenol A by the EFSA is still under discussion. If this is confirmed, this substance will play an even greater role. Jörg Konetzki from the Institut Kirchhoff Berlin GmbH will present the analytical challenges and opportunities.

In the second part Regulatory, the participants receive an overview of current developments in European and German FCM law from Saskia Both from the Saarland State Office for Consumer Protection. Food contact materials are increasingly made from alternative bio-based and recyclable materials. In the session "Bio-based and recyclable material solutions" three recognized speakers will present. For liquid cartons, Michael Brandt from EXTR:ACT e. V. answer the question "Food safety, recyclability and ecological balance - does it all still fit together?".

Many other interesting topics and speakers can be found in the conference program. The PTS team around Dr. Antje Harling and Dr. Markus Kleebauer is looking forward to conference participants who, as experience has shown, are very knowledgeable and to exciting panel discussions. For a long time we had to do without networking opportunities and personal exchange - and so we are looking forward to this face-to-face event. Talks in the breaks, discussion rounds and the joint dinner offer many opportunities to strengthen personal contacts and cooperation.

The professional background of the participants is diverse. The event is aimed at R&D managers, production managers, QM officers, regulatory affairs managers, buyers, sales staff and engineers.

On the day before the conference, PTS offers the workshop "Introduction to conformity work and quality assurance for paper, cardboard and sanitary paper for contact with food" (March 6th, 2023), which provides the basic know-how for daily work with the topic of food -Compliance taught In individual and group exercises, the participants learn how to calculate the worst-case migration in Calculate food and be able to prepare the necessary analytical test scope for a food safety declaration. Well trained, the freshly minted experts can already follow the conference.
