RDM apparently reaches agreement with trade union on closure of Barcelona board mill

The Italian cardboard manufacturer Reno de Medici has ended talks with employee representatives at the Castellbisbal cardboard factory near Barcelona in Spain and has apparently reached an agreement with them to close the plant. This was reported by the trade union and local media.

However, when asked by EUWID, RDM did not want to announce an exact date for the cessation of production and the final closure of the plant.

RDM produces recycled cardboard in Castellbisbal, mainly for food and pharmaceutical packaging, with a capacity of 190,000 tons per year. The company also operates the Paprinsa mill in Spain, which will continue to operate.
