The measures will be implemented primarily in the USA, where the corrugated base paper plant in Forney, which produces around 350,000 tons per year, is to be permanently closed.
But Europe is also affected. The small paper machine for corrugated base paper at the Roermond plant is to be taken out of production. The machine reportedly has a capacity of 40,000 tons.
The Roermond site currently has a capacity of 670,000 tons per year of AP packaging paper.
