The UK Competition Authority has approved the planned joint venture between paper manufacturers Suzano S.A. and Kimberly-Clark. According to Suzano, this means that all necessary regulatory approvals have been obtained.

The approvals required for the planned joint venture with Kimberly-Clark have now been fully granted. The EU had given the project the green light in mid-May.
However, the completion of the $3.4 billion transaction remains subject to further contractually agreed conditions. These include, in particular, the implementation of a corporate restructuring by Kimberly-Clark in South America.
The transaction is still expected to close in the third quarter of 2026, the statement added.
