Vipap Videm Krško paper mill in financial difficulties

Slovenian manufacturer of newsprint and flexible packaging paper Vipap Videm Krško is once again insolvent. On February 25, the district court in Krško initiated insolvency proceedings against Slovenia's only newsprint mill and appointed Sara Pušenjak Petek as insolvency administrator.
Vipap Videm operates an integrated paper and pulp mill with two paper machines at its Krško site. Its product portfolio includes newsprint, coated magazine paper, flexible packaging paper, and recycled kraft paper.
According to the Slovenian Press Agency (STA), Vipap had already ceased production in mid-December due to a lack of funds and temporarily laid off the majority of its employees. The production interruption was originally supposed to last until the end of January.
