News General news
The Belgian VPK Group has announced that it has now completed the acquisition of the UK-based Fencor Packaging Group. Following the acquisition of a 28% minority stake in 2024, VPK now holds 100% of the shares in the company, which includes the corrugated packaging manufacturer Manor Packaging.
Manor Packaging produces custom corrugated packaging in Whittlesey, Cambridgeshire, England, and specializes primarily in the manufacture of e-commerce packaging. Production is complemented by warehousing and logistics operations to serve customers nationwide. The company works closely with the British corrugated board manufacturer Corrboard UK, in which VPK also holds a majority stake.
Manor Packaging is to continue operating independently within the VPK Group. However, there will be a change in leadership. David Orr, Group Managing Director of Fencor, announced his upcoming retirement in connection with the acquisition. Tony Clifton, previously Sales Director of the company, will take over the management of Manor Packaging.
The VPK Group currently operates three corrugated packaging facilities in the UK through its subsidiary VPK Packaging, three tube manufacturing plants through its subsidiary Corex, and its headquarters in Desborough. The Group operates in 21 countries and across multiple segments. It produces recycled corrugated base paper, corrugated packaging, solid board packaging, and tubes. In the corrugated cardboard sector, the company has a total capacity of 2.3 billion square meters per year.
