Following applications in 2017 and 2023, the application was filed with the local court at the beginning of February 2026. On February 5, 2026, the court appointed Dr. Susanne Berner from the law firm Dr. Berner & Partner Rechtsanwälte PartG mbB as provisional insolvency administrator.

It was only in the summer of 2024 that Hainsberg successfully completed its latest restructuring process under its own administration. At that time, there were around 100 employees at the paper mill.

The company's portfolio includes printing, office, and packaging paper, all of which is made exclusively from recycled paper. More than half of the paper produced is exported to European countries. The Freital-based company's paper machine has a capacity of up to 40,000 tons per year. The managing directors, Dr. Dietrich Arnhold and Krystyna Saworska, are also shareholders in the paper manufacturer.
