First class passenger Abraham Lincoln Salomon had taken the menu with him when he boarded the lifeboat later known as the "money boat". The name came from a rumor that a passenger bribed the crew to sail away from the sinking ship as quickly as possible rather than take on more survivors.
It was the lunch menu of February 14, 1912, so this had been the last lunch aboard the Titanic. The menu for the First Class lunch shows that there were, among other things, brill fillets and salted meat.
